It may not be humane but at least it works as advertised.
#Chea pmouse species plus
On the plus side it's extremely humane because it doesn't get rid of any rodents Food (which according to countless reviews doesn't work), a stand (otherwise the device needs to be strapped to something), gas (using another regular and cheap CO2 canister voids the warranty). Designed to dip deeper into your pockets with ongoing costs. Extremely expensive when it makes life harder and not easier. Date stamp, temp, etc for kills is registered for the time/date I synched not the time of the trap trigger event (why isn't this part of the trap to begin with?) peanut butter, food the rodents may be familiar with, etc. If their bait doesn't work then need to pay more to use a cage to use baits that are known to work. Read more after reading countless FAQ's and help articles it's very complicated. The marketing is that it's all so easy but. You need a Degree in Rat behaviour, setting pre-feed cards, etc. Especially when the trap is in an inconvenient location. The whole purpose of the app is that I shouldn't need to do this.

Bluetooth doesn't work properly meaning I have to check the trap manually or touch phone to the trap to get it to synch. Lots of circular excuses why it's not working with request for a refund being ignored. Terrible product that simply doesn't work and is a total waste of money. NZ has native reptile species so I can only expect you are killing your own lizards as well. Shame on you GoodNature! Shame on you! There is not much that is conservation conscious about your branding in Australia, or probably anywhere. It happily tells me there have been 5000 killls in Australia recently and 6850 total!!! I wonder how many have been native species and Australians don't have a clue because GoodNature just don't provide the warnings and risks. I am so completely disappointed as I would not have thought the skink would even be able to get its massive head into the trap. A kill within an hour and it was an adult native skink. Set up the trap for a few days first, then this morning (during daylight hours) made it live with the CO2. Read more with only rats and mice at the cards. Found two locations in sheds that were actually visited by possums or similar (cards completely shredded).
#Chea pmouse species update
UPDATE - I took 8-days and used the lure cards studiously. Bottom line I believe, this is a very effective trap for ALL small mammals and will not distinguish between killing native or pest mammals. Another protected species in another country. I have since found stories of kills to native hedgehogs in the UK. So much for their brand being all about conservation? bandicoots) is about as far from conservation as you can get. I pointed out to Goodnature that it is more than a little disingenuous to keep saying ‘can’t say, haven’t trialled’ where one of the published/online field trials included bandicoots as a target species.įor a company that prides itself on conservation, selling a device that has been proven lethal to protected, native mammals (eg. Goodnature responded that my feedback would be “passed to the team”. I responded again that, in my opinion, Goodnature need to warn potential purchasers in countries with native mammals. I got the response from Goodnature that (paraphrased) ‘we haven’t trialled but there are things you can do to reduce the risk’. I responded along the lines that this was not a satisfactory response as bandicoots are protected species and Australians should be warned. Goodnature responded with (paraphrased) ‘we can’t say, we haven’t trialled’. The company, Goodnature, was approached directly about this as killing protected species is against the law in. Turns out this device is effective on all small mammals: bilbys, bandicoots, etc. These are a protected species in Australia. Problem was, they were also targeting “field rats” (bandicoots)).

Do not recommend - buyer beware and do your research.Īfter purchase, read trial in zoological park (Google “Goodnature zoological park” where their E2 trap (same or similar to the A24) was very effective.
